The 2017 VW Tiguan is scheduled to make its European debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. So, the second generation of the Tiguan crossover is expected to hit the dealerships as early as 2016. It is interesting to note that the German automaker has invested a substantial amount of money in the production facility in Pueblo, Mexico. This plant is set to produce the 2017 VW Tiguan with 5+2 seating layout. The model will be available in the US as well as some other non-European markets. As for the standard five-seater 2017 VW Tiguan, it will continue to be sold in its familiar configuration.

Its fans are becoming increasingly impatient to hear what Ford’s final decision concerning the model’s future will be. The 2017 Mercedes GLC Coupe is expected to take on the BMW X4 SUV immediately after its debut in late 2016 or early 2017.

The next iteration of the full-size Traverse SUV is about to receive substantial changes and updates. Just like the rest of the GM’s model lineup, the 2017 Chevrolet Traverse will get the new Lambda platform and all sorts of enhancements.

The Chevrolet Traverse will be based on the same GM Lambda platform that underpins the GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave. Its configuration allows it to carry seven or eight passengers. The Traverse is actually the successor to the famous Chevrolet TrailBlazer SUV. It was initially made in Spring Hill, Tenneessee, but the production was later moved to the Delta Township Assembly plant in Lansing, Michigan in 2010. The same plant produces other GM’s SUVs that are underpinned by the Lambda platform.

The vehicle will be built at the same Sunderland facility which is set to produce the 2017 Nissan Juke crossover.

So, the redesigned model is expected to arrive as the 2018 Audi Q3 with a large number of significant improvements. The Q3 has been the smallest Audi’s SUV so far but that’s about to change as soon as the 2016 Audi Q1 makes its debut. One of the reasons that led the German automaker to base the 2018 Audi Q3 on a new platform is the need to make a clear distinction between these two crossovers.
