2016 Audi Q1 Release and Price
Audi plans to produce two million vehicles a year by 2020. In order to accomplish that ambitious goal, the company has decided to introduce several new models. It’s been announced that we might expect as many as eleven new models launched by Audi by the year 2020. One of those vehicles will be the Q1 SUV model. The German automaker has officially confirmed that the model is due to arrive sometime during 2016. The 2016 Audi Q1 SUV will be the smallest member of the Audi Q family.
The upcoming model has been announced as a sleek crossover SUV, based on the VW MQB platform. It is supposed to share its underpinnings with the new VW Golf SUV. The 2016 Q1 will be a five-door crossover, shorter than the Q3 model by 240 mm. It will be 4,150 mm long, 1,750 mm wide and 1,570 mm tall. Its production is expected to begin during 2016 at the Ingolstadt facility. The Q1 will go on sale by the end of the same year.
2016 Audi Q1 Engines
This small crossover will be available with a choice of two engines. The gasoline option will be a 1.4-liter TFSI powerplant, while the diesel version comes in the form of a 1.4-liter TDI engine. Both of the engines can be coupled with either manual or automatic transmission. The 2016 Audi Q1 will be offered with front-wheel drive as standard, with an optional all-wheel drive version. The 2016 Audi SQ1 will be a range-topping model. All models are supposed to be equipped with Audi’s MMI system as well as a wide range of personalization options. Alongside the gasoline, diesel and SQ1 powertrains, the automaker will introduce the 2016 Audi Q1 Plug-In Hybrid version of their new crossover.
2016 Audi Q1 Price
There has been much speculation about the upcoming Q1’s pricing. According to reliable sources, it is supposed to start below €20.000, at least on the home market. Anyway, there is still plenty of time for the 2016 Audi Q1 to hit the dealerships. Until then, we can only hope that there is some truth behind these rumors.
