2016 Chevrolet Tahoe Changes and Price
Since the 2015 Tahoe came with only minor alterations and upgrades, we expect the 2016 model to offer much more substantial changes. According to some sources, Chevrolet plans to redesign many of its models during the next few years. The 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe is expected to be a part of the same process.
Chevrolet plans to add a new Z71 package to the Tahoe, Suburban and Silverado models during 2015. The 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe Z71 features a revised front bumper, new grille and special aluminum wheels covered with off-road tires. Other additions include new hooks and protective panels underneath the body. Also, the ’’Z71’’ nameplate brings an off-road suspension, all-wheel drive as well as downhill assist control. Other amenities offered with the package are the fog lights, front hook and front parking sensors. Apart from improving the driving experience, this off-road package makes the vehicle more appealing visually.
2016 Chevrolet Tahoe Upgrades
The 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe is expected to bring a large number of upgrades. These improvements will be essential in helping the Tahoe remain competitive with other full-size SUVs in the segment. The Tahoe for the 2016 MY will be offered with onStar 4G LTE connectivity system. The system includes a built-in WiFi hotspot, cell phone recharging as well as a handsfree system of opening the trunk door.
The 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe will be available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions. Both versions will feature enhanced suspension that provides more comfortable driving experience. Also, the new model will be equipped with a new generation of magnetic ride control suspension system which enables more precision in chassis control.
The current model is powered by a single engine in all three trim levels. It is the EcoTec3 V8 gasoline unit with direct injection and VVT. This 5,3 liter engine generates 355 hp at 5,600 rpm and 383 lb-ft of torque at 4,100 rpm, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This same efficient and modern engine is expected to carry over in the 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe. Based on all the relevant facts, we expect the new Tahoe to stay in the same price range. The current model ranges from $45,550 to $60,335, depending on the trim level.
