2016 Mercedes GLC Redesign and Release
The 2016 Mercedes GLC is scheduled to arrive in the second half of 2015. The new GLC SUV is actually a completely redesigned version of the GLK model. Its new nameplate is a result of Mercedes-Benz’s new naming strategy that applies to several other models of the German company. The all-new GLC SUV is expected to bring new architecture, new design and numerous interesting innovations.
The 2016 GLC will be based on the new C-Class model from which it borrows the platform, interior as well as the engine range. For the first time ever, this model will be offered in right-hand-drive configuration. That basically means that the GLC is aimed for some new markets such as the UK, India and Australia.

Thanks to its new longer wheelbase, the 2016 GLC will feature a much more spacious cabin with plenty of room for rear passengers. Compared to the former GLK model, the GLC has grown in size noticeably. As for the exterior design, it features a much sportier look with more round shapes in comparison to its predecessor. Both the front and rear ends of the vehicle have undergone visual alterations, with the new roof line swooping towards the back. Inside, the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC is emulating the latest C-Class’ design and features to a large extent. The overall feel of the new interior is the one of style and sophistication.

Being a global model, the 2016 Mercedes GLC is due to receive a much wider engine choice than it used to be the case with its predecessors. In addition to those units offered with the outgoing GLK SUV, there will be brand new engines as well. The new model is also expected to come with an enhanced fuel economy which is currently estimated at 19/25 mpg.
