2016 Nissan Juke-R 2.0 News, Specs, Price
The 2016 Nissan Juke-R 2.0 made its debut at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The predecessor of this spectacular model had more than 490 horsepower at its disposal. It needed only 3.7 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h, with the top speed of 255 km/h. However, the new 2016 Nissan Juke-R 2.0 exceeded these impressive figures.
The previous Nissan Juke-R came as quite a sensation on the crossover market. This limited edition model was offered to a small number of buyers with the price exceeding £400,000. At the time, it was fitted with the Nissan GT-R’s mechanical package. It seems that the Japanese automaker has taken this interesting vehicle to a new level, creating the first crossover supercar ever. Namely, the 2016 Nissan Juke-R 2.0 will be powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 that already propels the Nissan GT-R Nismo. This unit is capable of producing more than 600 horsepower with the maximum torque of 652 Nm. The brand new Juke-R has basically surpassed its predecessor in every respect. It reportedly needs only 3 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h, with an even higher top speed. Nissan’s Le Mans driver Jann Mardenborough will take the 2016 Nissan Juke-R 2.0 for its premiere ride.
2016 Nissan Juke-R 2.0 Design
The upcoming Juke-R 2.0 received several new exterior styling cues. The most notable change came with a new carbon fiber front bumper that features larger air intakes. Understandably, this change is due to enormously powerful engine that needs additional cooling. As for the rear side, it also features a new carbon fiber bumper as well as a rear diffuser. Another carbon fiber component comes with the new side steps.
Among those design cues borrowed from the regular version of the Nissan Juke are the front and rear light clusters as well as the hood fitted with carbon fiber intakes.
