2016 Nissan Terrano Facelift
The Terrano crossover aimed at the Indian market was launched by the Renault-Nissan Alliance for the 2013 model year. Nissan’s crossover SUV actually shares most of its components with the Renault Duster that has been hugely successful in India. Although the Terrano India is still relatively fresh on the market, rumor has it that the model is due to receive a mild facelift for the 2016 MY. Namely, the 2016 Nissan Terrano is expected to come with several styling tweaks, while the rest of the vehicle should carry over unchanged.
2016 Nissan Terrano Updates
As far as the sheet metal is concerned, the 2016 Nissan Terrano will retain its familiar proportions. However, expect to see some new styling cues that should bring this crossover more in line with the rest of Nissan’s SUV lineup. It will adopt a restyled front fascia reminiscent of the one seen on the Patfinder SUV. In other words, the Terrano will distinguish itself from the Duster even more after the latest facelift. Among these tweaks we expect to see a restyled grille, new headlights and aluminum roof rails. As for the interior design, it is expected to remain mostly unchanged. The only notable changes will come with a revised steering wheel and an enhanced audio system that will include a CD-player, USB, aux-in and Bluetooth connectivity.
2016 Nissan Terrano Engine Specs
The engine department of the 2016 Nissan Terrano will be virtually identical to the one offered with its predecessor. So, buyers will once again be able to choose between gasoline and diesel powertrains. The gasoline option will come as the 1.6-liter unit paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Now, the 1.5-liter dCi diesel engine produces either 84 horsepower or 109 horsepower, depending on the variant. The more powerful diesel unit can be had with a six-speed manual gearbox.
2016 Nissan Terrano Release Date
The 2016 Nissan Terrano is expected to hit the dealerships in late 2015 or possibly in early 2016.
