2017 Honda Pilot Release and Redesign
The 2017 Honda Pilot will arrive only a year after the whole new generation of the popular SUV made its debut. In that regard, expect no dramatic changes from this model. The only exceptions could come in the form of several subtle tweaks. Anyway, the third-generation Pilot offers a sleeker shape and slightly smaller proportions compared to its predecessor. It also comes with a large number of advanced systems that make it one of the most competitive models in this crowded segments. After the latest overhaul, the Honda Pilot can easily rival the likes of the Toyota Highlander, Ford Explorer and Nissan Patfhinder.
As for the sheet metal, the redesigned Pilot came with a more attractive and dynamic lines instead of the blocky shape for which it had been known. As a result, the 2017 Honda Pilot will be more in line with the smaller HR-V and CR-V crossovers when it comes to the exterior design. It comes with a number of sleek styling cues such as the LED accents in the headlights as well as the similarly designed rear light cluster.
The interior of the brand new Pilot boasts a bevy of soft-touch materials and stylish details. Its capacious cabin offers plenty of storage space, while the cargo capacity is one of the most generous in this class. Instead of the troublesome navigation system in the old Pilot, the new model adopts a more advanced Garmin system. It also comes with up to five USB ports as well as the optional HD rear-entertainment system.

The 2017 Honda Pilot will once again be available with the sole V6 engine under its hood. Namely, the 3.5-liter unit will be producing 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. This enhanced powertrain can be matched either to a six-speed automatic or a new nine-speed automatic transmission. While AWD is available with all models, the Elite trim offers it as standard.

Expect the new Honda Pilot 2017 to go on sale in mid-2016, with basically unchanged pricing figures compared to the previous model.
