2017 Kia Sorento Release Date
The thoroughly redesigned Sorento SUV was revealed last year as a 2015 model. The third generation of this sleek seven-seater came riding on a brand new platform, bigger and more powerful than its predecessor. As for the 2017 Kia Sorento, expect to see several minor cosmetic changes and upgrades.
2017 Kia Sorento Design
The all-new Sorento features a more premium design than any of Kia’s current models. Although it has grown in size considerably, it offers a car-like driving experience thanks to its new underpinnings. Contrary to its predecessors, the new model offers a balance of style, refinement and practicality. Design-wise, it has adopted a lot of the styling cues seen on the current Carnival van. As far as the 2017 Kia Sorento is concerned, we expect its exterior styling to receive several subtle tweaks that should help it stay fresh in this highly competitive segment. A similar story is expected inside the 2017 Sorento which is due to undergo certain adjustements. Anyway, Kia’s designers have done a pretty good job with the third-gen Sorento giving it a smart and refined look. That said, it’s no wonder this family hauler is becoming increasingly popular on various markets.

The 2017 Kia Sorento will carry over unchanged when it comes to the available engine options. There will be the familiar 2.4-liter direct-injected four-cylinder that makes 190 horsepower as well as the new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder producing 240 horsepower. The V6 option comes as the 3.3-liter Lambda unit that cranks out 290 horsepower. As for the diesel models, they get a 2.2-liter CRDi engine with variable geometry turbocharger (VGT). All of the engines will be offered with either a six-speed manual transmission or six-speed automatic transmission. There will be both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, while the latter is offered exclusively with the automatic gearbox.
