2017 Lexus LX 570 Release and Price
Lexus has recently revealed a thoroughly refreshed LX 570 full-size SUV. Apart from receiving new styling cues, this rugged eight-passenger SUV adopted several mechanical and technical upgrades. Being an immediate successor to the updated 2016 model, the 2017 Lexus LX 570 is expected to carry over mostly unchanged.
It is the LX 570’s exterior design that underwent the most significant changes with the latest refresh. As a matter of fact, most of the sheet metal was redesigned, except for the carryover door panels. The 2017 Lexus LX 570 will benefit greatly from this overhaul, since the new model boasts a much bolder front fascia and generally a more aggressive stance compared to the outgoing version. The company’s designers gave us a new take on the familiar spindle grille that is now flanked by reshaped LED headlamps, turn lights and daytime running lights. At the back, there are new L-shaped LED taillights, while the D-pillar features a sleeker design. Seen from the sides, the updated LX 570 boasts a more prominent hood and fenders, with standard 20-inch and optional 21-inch alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, the 2017 Lexus LX 570 offers revised leather and wood trims as well as a new multi-function steering wheel covered in wood. When it comes to the technical updates, expect to see a larger 4.2-inch information display and a 12.3-inch center display equipped with Remote Touch interface controller and full-screen Navigation map views. Also, the new models come with heated and ventilated second-row seats, a Head-Up Display, a rear entertainment system with dual 11.6-inch displays, etc.
2017 LX 570 Safety Features
The 2017 Lexus LX 570 boasts a new Lexus Safety System + that comprises Lane Departure Alert, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and Intelligent High Beam.
2017 Lexus LX 570 Engine Specs
Expect the new Lexus LX 570 to retain its familiar 5.7-liter V8 that delivers 383 horsepower and 403 lb-ft of torque. However, one of the recent upgrades includes a new eight-speed sequential-shift automatic transmission that replaced the old 6-speed gearbox. This capable engine paired with the new transmission can take the hefty LX 570 from 0 to 60 mph in just 7.3 seconds.
The 2017 Lexus LX 570 is likely to go on sale in the second half of 2016. A well-equipped model is expected to cost around $90,000.
