2017 Mitsubishi ASX Facelift Release

Mitsubishi ASX crossover SUV is definitely the best-selling model of the brand, at least as far as Europe and Australia. Although a major redesign and a new generation ASX model will not soon appear, the company did not come to Geneva empty-handed. Redesigned new generation is expected on the market in 2019. Facelifted 2017 Mitsubishi ASX  model was launched at the Geneva Motor Show 2016. Each segment brought something new, which makes same demand to this model on the market. In addition to this facelift ASX model, the company unveiled the ASX Geoseek Concept. That’s a special rugged treatment which is also presented on L200 model. These projects could go in production, if there is interest in such trim.

2017 Mitsubishi ASX Changes

Exactly a year ago the current ASX crossover SUV was presented in all its glory. The new design, inspired by the XR-PHEV concept has taken root. Through identical changes has passed and the model for the US market. There, the same vehicle is sold as the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. New design and style have done that Mitsubishi ASX model ceases to be boring. Besides the current model is designed to achieve excellent results EPA rating, CO2 emissions and performance in general.

2017 Mitsubishi ASX

Mitsubishi company has used the Geneva Motor Show for trimmed 2017 Mitsubishi ASX. After a year, some details still ‘stinging eyes’. For this reason, the re-styled front end ASX 2017 model. Changes also included grille and chrome highlights. Regarding equipment, new ASX has optional 18 inch alloy wheels, updated rear seats, piano black accents on the steering wheel, shark-fin anntena.

The model presented in Geneva in the engine range has added a new power unit. It is a 1.6 L with 114 ps, which is combined with six-speed manual transmission. This engine is available with a 2017 Mitsubishi ASX, with drive on two or all four wheels.

2017 ASX Price and Release

The facelifted 2017 Mitsubishi ASX is expected to go on sale in September 2016.  The price is similar to the current model. It starts at £15,249 on the UK market.

2019 Mitsubishi ASX The Fourth Generation

Mitsubishi RVR, which is the name ASX model in Japan, just are expected  major changes. The redesigned model, which will be the fourth generation of the crossover SUV models will be available on the market during 2019. All-new 2019 Mitsubishi ASX model will be based on the Mitsubishi eX Concept . The dimensions of the concept are 4,200 mm long, 1,750 mm wide and 1,625 mm tall.

In addition to changes in the design inspired by the concept, there will be changes in the driveline of the new ASX model. It is assumed that the company will offer the market the Mitsubishi ASX with pure electric drive. For now there is not much official information about this redesign. The company’s future projects presented in the framework of Mitsubishi Motors, which means only for the media in Japan.
